Cool, all of a sudden you "S" folks are saying nice things about the justa. Never thought i would see that.
Hmmmmm.... I like what MINI did with the interior.... Not so much with the "S" exterior and who knows what disaster awaits the JCW with the tacked on bumper "extensions"? Wonder if I'll like the BMW 1 Series better.... Hope the 1 series styling doesn't get borked up....
Unfortunately, BMW has said it likely won't be bringing the 1 Series to the U.S. I guess i'll have to settle for an M2.
You guys are way too critical. Didn't your mother ever told you, "If you don't have anything good to say, say nothing at all?" With that in mind, I'll say this:
I'll bet Fiat is rolling on the floor right about now.... Quick.... Somebody go find Gert Hilderbrand.... This really needs to be fixed... Way too many hipsters in the design department....
Just took a closer look at the pictures of the dash. From the left they look to be back up sensor and auto on/off. Then the starter, then DSC then something else. I don't see front or rear fog anyplace. :confused5:
OK, I figured out what the two buttons by the cruise control are and Crash was almost right. They are camera based and allow the cruise control to maintain a certain distance from the car in front or a car behind. Soooooo, if Dave O. comes up behind me on the Dragon, the cruise control would keep me a certain distance in front of him and I would be flying down that mountain.:lol::lol: It would also keep the Dragon Parade in a very orderly formation.
When Frank Stephenson was asked what he thought of the R56, he supposedly said (paraphrased), "looks good, but what did they do to the headlights?" This time it will be, "looks good, but what did they to the front bumper, the rear tailights, the central speedo AND the headlights?'
there has been talk for some time about android connectivity...in fact BMW Connected uses android...and the systems are essentially the same now so it stands to reason there isnt alot of hard work to figure this out...in fact most of android dev's could have solved this in a weekend...10 to 1 says all they do is just port the apple app over to android...all the app is a way to turn on the data connection and aggregate all of the phones systems and slave them to the dash
More likely radar based than cameras Jim. One less thing to pay attention to while one drives. I think paying attention makes for better drivers, but what do I know. The FAA is looking into pilots using the auto everything too much. They believe pilots are losing their edge & flying skills are declining. What say ye pilots about this?
The write up on MF says "camera" based. Took awhile to find it, but it towards the bottom of the write up.
