Nope.

The N20 is a straight 4, unlike the F56's B37 and B38 modular 3 and 4 cylinder. In therory there could be a B36 2 cylinder and B39 5 cylinder, all based on the modular concept that BMW has created with MINI in mind.
Take a look at the article on MotoringFile » Archive » World Debut: 2014 MINI F56 Engines & Transmissions – We Go In-Depth & Hands-on I think it will answer some of the questions you have. -
Yea I saw that article, very good. But I was kinda asking the Mini community what they are thinking about it? Do you think they will let the JCW use the 240bhp platform? How easy do you think it would be to change the platform in the ECU to the other configurations? This engine gets its max torque at 1250 rpm, that could be very interesting.

Nobody can answer your question until the car is released and the aftermarket looks at what they can do with the car.
It's not like MINI / BMW works with anyone besides its own JCW group prior to a new model release to design upgrades / OEM mods.
They are not like Ford or GM or other manufactures that provide Pre production cars to specific aftermarket businesses to R&D upgrades or custom mods.
