yeah, they changed quite a bit for the "facelift" 2005/2006, everything from transmission gearing & exhaust hangers to the dash. And it seems the clutch switch, clutch switch wiring, fusebox wiring, ecu wiring.
Thankfully realoem makes it easy to ensure you get the right part, but it does not help with retrofit instructions only for the early cars -
We have lots of smart azzes here....
Think most if us saw your thread over on "the other site"... -

Bentley manual with the electrical schematic might be of some help....

I'll check if it has both, I have the schematic from the retrofit kit it's in this pdf, but it's wrong for facelift

But after they came out, they stopped, and told folks to re-order or buy a different car....
Perhaps it was due to more than just a change in difficulty or time and $$ involved....
Been a longtime....but thinking back to 2003/4 when I was thinking of buying, then ordered in 2004....and got a 2005....just how I remember it. -
time wise it's not very bad, remove dash lay wires, plug into connectors already there behind center speedo, fusebox, clutch switch and over at the body module
mine is done except for ecu, waiting on a couple guys that did facelifts already to respond -
ista/p has a retrofit function for cruise control, it shows as an installed option on my car now (also retrofit computer so I can see mpg now) but I still have not got mine to work next step is troubleshooting the buttons & clockspring.
inpa wont let me test the mfsw says module not installed, I recoded kombi, gm, and ecu after I did the retrofit, not sure what else it could be other than bad wiring
