So I take it someone took a bunch of pictures and Nathan's MINI has his mufflers on full chat!

 

Yeah.... Mark was in the back of the pack.... We just shot by a rather large cemetery. Mark observed several heads pop up out of the ground....

Yeah, you could say, Nathan's exhaust is somewhat loud.... No one wants to end up trailing behind Nathan....

So much fun! Long day for sure, but a great time with a great bunch of people.

I have learned one little lesson. It's pointless to wash your car before a drive like that. I think I picked up more bugs than Mark did leaves, horse poop and road kill.

 

After the creepy Mothman museum tour, some of us headed down to the Ohio river overlook park kinda thing. You had to pass through a rather tall flood-wall barrier. On the river side the artist Robert Dafford has painted a series of flood wall murals. They were damn impressive. These murals must have been every bit of 15 to 20 feet tall with amazing detail....

Mark's new splitter we helped install, was scooping up them Amish "road apples" with great fury and depositing them on his windshield...... A sight to behold.....

 

So, found out I drove this entire drive with a nail in my tire.

I had an issue with a tire going soft for the past month, but because the tires are new, I assumed it was a mounting issue.

I took it in today and found out there is a hefty nail on the outer edge of the tread. Of course it's not repairable, but thanks to my road hazard warranty, it's covered!

Funny part was, the tire guy asked me if I wanted him to install my spare. I should have said SURE!! Would have been fun to watch him search.

 

FWIW I checked out the OPlates website today for available Mothman vanity plates. Currently available are: MOTH....MOTHMN....MTHMAN. I'm not changing mine again this year. Anyone going to be the Mothman? BTW, a new plate design is coming in April 2013 that eliminates the farm scene currently on our plates. The new one is a simple white plate with a red accent and dark blue letters.
