Found out this weekend that 2/3rds of the B.A.D. clan are heading out of town on 10/13, so I'm definitely up for a drive. If nothing else, I may re-run this years Riverrun route and take on a trip to Point Pleasant and go to the Mothman museum.
If we end up doing the 2012 Riverrun route, be ready for an incredible chili dog! I guess I should check and make sure Remo's is open year round.
I hope that Jason and Li'l Pigg plan on joining us? My wife and I plan to make the run.... That is if it doesn't conflict with my Quebec vacation plans.... Plane / Train / B&B reservations and all, that is.....
Wow, Thanks for thinking of me. I am sorry to say that I will be in New Jersey for work on the 10/13/12. I am also busy on 10/6/12. I feel bad that I can't make it with you peeps on any of these trips and Tim Hortons. This year has been busy for me this year with Car Stuff and and Work. I have experienced some new car show and new car racing this year.
Here are my plans for 10/13: - Leave the Bob Evans at Gender Rd. & US 33, around 9 am. - Get down to Gallipolis around noon - Get at least 12" of chili dog from Remo's for lunch - Make the 15 minute drive over to Point Pleasant to go to the Mothman Museum ($3admission) for a little while: Welcome to the World's Only Mothman Museum! - Drive back into Gallipolis to get back on the route to Circleville (approximately 2 1/2 hours if I remember right) I plan on re-using my route map from the 2012 Riverrun (I can make copies for anybody that is interested in going). I am not planning on doing any type of pre-drive to confirm that the roads on the route are still open, so times and miles driven may vary.
Starting a list of who is going so I know how many copies to make: B.A.D. mergemini JMC40 Roger Metalman & Metalwoman Bradley - maybe mrntd Nathan
Change us from a "Maybe" to a "Fur Sur"...... How can I pass up coneys sold by the inch.... Gotta see this Mothman character, have heard a lot about this dude.... Anybody that wears a cape is OK in my book..... And if they can fly.... Well, that's even better....
Added Changed (wasn't sure if I need to add Metaldog since you are "Fur Sur" coming:wink The coneys are not sold by the inch, but rather in 6" increments. Can't remember who went on the drive over Memorial Day, but want to give fair warning that there is a section of the drive on the way back from Gallipolis that is on some roads that are a little rough and could result in bottoming out/scraping (if I remember right).
