:cornut: Looks like a 'speed bump.' HHHMMMMMMMMMM, in Abarth form, well............................ First however, they'd need to fix the quality assurance, reliability problems, and the suspension. Still though, it's merely a Fiat. Okay 2nd car for the MINI?

I've been seeing lots of them around town. Interesting little cars. That roadster is an odd looking thing for sure. As far as quality goes the jury is still out. We already know about MINIs quality. ;)

My mini is in the shop now for a harmonic balancer. When I went to pick up a rental, Enterprise had a couple of Fiat 500s. I was hoping to get to play with one, but instead I got an Impala

Ever noticed how much room there is to work under the hood of the Abarth?

Looks like the same tight packaging that we have on our MINIs. Makes the R53 engine room look spacious in comparison. The Abarth uses smaller horses so the barn can be smaller me thinks. ;)

Imitation is the Highest Form of Flattery

To imitate someone is to do exactly what they do, to behave like them. To flatter someone is to say nice things to them, often to influence them or make them have a positive opinion of you. So the expression, “Imitation is the highest form of flattery†means that doing something the way someone else does it is actually a compliment to them. You are saying: I am doing this because I like your idea/behavior.

We owned a 2012 Fiat 500 Sport 5pd for 8 months and traded it in for a 2012 Justa.

Why the change? Not a good car or did the MINI just draw you in with its personality?

Reading that forum is exactly what I expected. The 500 is a cheap car that is marketed as an accessory. When you do that people expect it not be so cheap. My point on this thing all along has been that while it is a neat car and nice looking it is a total pile of **** that is going to fall apart every time you look at it. Add to this Chrysler and Fiat level materials and you get a rolling nightmare.

Give me BMW design and materials for twice the money any day over Fiat/Chrysler design and materials. In the long run it is the bargin of the century.

    Yep we have...

Her issues are with the dealer, they seem to be the Gang that Couldn't Shoot Straight. It's a shame that while the car was enjoyable the local service was so bad it tainted the ownership experience.

It was a funny, nice, and different car for $20K. Had a lot of people asking about it. Alot of non car people thought it was either a Mini or VW. Who had no clue what a Fiat was. The dealer experience was terrible.

    True

I've been blamed in the past (pre Mini days) for something that was done at the dealer.

:cornut: MINI Margi(08 R56 MCS/JCWm) was a garage queen for the first two years that I owned her. Everything that could break on her did but, I just loved her anyway. What really made the differebce was the Dealer, MINI of DALLAS. They always fixed her no problem. Service with a smile. Do you need a loaner Jason. No sir, no charge. For the past year, no problem at all. Yes sir, the dealer makes all the difference in the world.
