But the manufacturers are also risk adverse (for good reason because of the large amount of money involved) and they want to see actual positive evidence that small cars are in demand before they commit. The Fiat 500 isn't helping with that whether or not it is the fault of something else besides the actual vehicle.
Maybe barreling down the highway would have been a better choice. Never saw a Fiat that rust didn't like.:wink:
Personally, I think the Scion IQ holds a lot of market potential in the micro-car category. It should be reasonably reliable (being a Toyota), it's got good dealership, and it looks pretty good (IMHO).

advertised as a Chick Car. All of the advertisements I have seen they regard the 500 as a car for the modern day successful business woman. They just don't have a good agent that would advertise the 500 as a very good economy car for all of America. You can't sell anything with crappy ad's. ostcount
