Long story short, I first rode in a MCS back in 2005 and I have wanted one ever since, last week I finally picked up a 2006 MCS 6spd and I can't wait to start driving it everywhere. I picked it up knowing it needed a couple minor things before it was driven too much. Currently waiting on parts so I can put it back together (Crank seal behind the pulley was leaking).
Congratulations on a nice looking ride and Welcome to Motoring Alliance the bestest MINI forum on the interweb !!
Welcome to M/A! Your R53 looks nice and I'm sure you will have the time of your life as its new owner [2006 was THE best year]!
The '06 MCS model is considered by many (including me) to be the epitome of the BMW MINI when it comes to elegant simplicity in design, spirit, and pure driving pleasure. Congrats and enjoy!
Welcome to MA.. good looking ride.. looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks for the warm welcome! My plans for the car (after I get the maintenance where I think it needs to be) will be brakes, wheels/tires, suspension in that order. After those are done the power mods will start. I am currently replacing the Crank Seal (the one behind the pulley) and waiting on parts. After that I will probably replace the radiator as it seems to have a small leak at the top where the hose goes and just go from there.
Welcome to MA. Looks like your already jumping right in to bring your new ride back up to speed. Good stuff.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
