There is this one feature I hate on my 2005 R53, The odometer keeps moving while I am driving.
I HATE that!!!!:cryin:

 

#1 Has an "OFF" switch...

#2 Is a bit of a pain...

#3 Cant be helped...

But #1 and #2 can be solved with either coding with NCS or the Ian Cull circuit board stuff.

 

What year is your R53? It was a programmable option at least in 2005+. Unlock button on my key is set to unlock everything on the first click (trunk and both doors).

 

Most cars have a seperate pull or button for the trunk now even on the remote.

1 & 2 is an easy fix as stated above with this http://www.fes-auto.com/products_detail.php?productid=35

or you can have them "coded" in to your R53.

* when I say "coded" I do not mean the at the Dealership because they do not have the access to do it because they are also locked down.

You have to have some like Mike at Helix code it in for the R53's with a "program" he has and he can access everything and ALL the options.

Mike coded my windows to go up and Sunroof to close with my OEM remote.

 

If you get your car tuned, the DSC can be made less aggressive at the same time....
And an auto up module is the best first mod IMO...also has the "track mode" setting for the DSC...

 

I solved the DSC problem by ordering my MINI without that nanny. You kill her with auto-up with track mode.

Solved the traction nanny issue by killing her with an auto-up with track mode.

No truncated problems with the trunk.

Agree on #1.
#2 can be addressed by using Isn't auto up circuit. I love mine.
#3. Can't say it ever bothered me.

 

Added the auto up module for 1 and 2
My unlock unlocks everything. If I hold it the windows go down and the sunroof opens.
Have it do the reverse on locking might be worth the reprogramming this year.

 

Dave, do you know if Helix can code both windows to go up, one-touch? Last year at MOTD I stopped by their tent, and they said it was passenger side window only. I was planning to stop by this year and at least have that done, but it'd be ideal to give both windows one-touch (if possible). Oh yeah, I have a 2006 R53. :cornut:

 

Yeah Mike @ Helix (Blue Mohawk) can do that. It's a quick double tap for up just like the quick double tap for down.

The cool part is you will also be able to open and close all your windows & sunroof with the remote. You tap once to lock and unlock if you tap and hold down the lock button it will roll up the windows and close the sunroof also.

Just like it does from the factory when you tap to unlock then hold the unlock bottom down for rolling them down and open the Sunroof.
