Stock run flat 16s to Drag DR-23's and Nitto Motivo 215-45-17. They seem great so far, but compared to the hard run flats I'm sure any non rft would feel like an improvement. It took me a few minutes to realize the noise was gone, and after a few rough areas with no sound effect of me dragging a metal garbage can wedged under the chassis I was very happy. I did notice right away the improvement in acceleration, both from takeoff and mid range from the lighter wheels. Also what I blamed to be the rft seems to be true. It was very annoying at highway speeds, seemed like I was always having to re-center myself in my lane (micro-adjustments but still). That's all gone with the new tires, it must have been the hard sidewalls. Call me crazy but I bought 5 matching wheels and tires. I'm going with the Rally style back seat. This way if I get a flat tire I have an instant replacement. and wont have the urgency to get it fixed immediately from having and odd size spare. Just got the rear seat delete today, so I will mount it somehow on the kit. I will just take it out and go naked the few times I have to carry (big) things. What a difference wheels and tires make, both in looks and performance. I love my MINI even more now, I now have go-kart handling.
Nice wheels and tires, I really do like my Motivos, the are great road tires, very solid in the wet and a few inches of snow, stick well in the dry too. A set of Swift springs will take care of the GAP. Don
