I think so, that or some other hardware store of the sort, I was still living down in Augusta then. -

I wish my PC had that handle.

Still, I like my one grip from OG, it's the closest thing to having a powertool surgically grafted to your hand, but without the awkward social aspects of meeting new people and having them shake your polishing pad. -
He's the real OG though!
Seriously though he's taught me a lot about taking care of my baby and is a fellow MINI enthusiast (Barry Mequair and Richard Griot don't have MINIs). Just drink the kool-aide and jump on the bandwagon! lol -
That's what I use, and I agree that it works (and smells) great. Plus, buy it at Costco CHEAP. Something like $7 for a gallon :eek6:
-
I was cruising through Costco earlier and saw they were almost out, so I picked up another gallon. Looks like I lied about the price. It's $8.50/gal, not $7 as earlier reported. No pump though. I really like this wash. It has silky feel to it that I haven't seen before. I'm not an expert, but it feels like it has more lubricity which must be a good thing.
-
I just read the label, but it doesn't mention what's in it. I have no idea about the polymers, but this stuff exudes lubricity so my guess is your right. I take by your comment if it has polymers then carnauba won't bond correctly? Is that true of Epic as well? I have some Mystic around here somewhere. If this stuff isn't good for a prewax wash, I'll use it instead.
-
with much success.did you use the right amount vs water?
not pointed at you jeff, but i've seen a lot of people use shampoo
like one cap full for 5 gallons and spray their hose in their bucket
for major suds.
all they get is suds that collect grit and no lubricity.ut:
the Griot's wash has nice lubricity and minimal suds if you pour water
gently into the bucket.last thing i want in my bucket is a bunch
of suds. -
what i dont want is polymer sandwiched in between my
carnauba apps due to bonding issues as you mentioned.
on my G and MCS i only use carnauba based products..well,
the wheels use Hydro. -
I use the Griots sprayer and I didn't try it by using a regular bucket method. The Ice just seems to have more lubricity then the Griot when used with the spray gun. The Griot car wash wasn't terrible but for the price I wasn't impressed.
I would try it again with just mixing it and using it the traditional way but pretty happy with the ice car wash.
-
Perhaps the Ice has more lubricity per content(?).
I suppose its a prefernce thing... My wife likes bodyshampoo with conditioner. I dont like it cause it leaves behind this slippery film(?) on my skin that feels like showering in salt softened water. Rinse and rinse and rinse and still feels like soap's on your body. hahahaha
