MITM in WP is not affected by the current fires in Colorado. The event will be well attended and the rides will avoid the fire areas. We are having horrific fires, the efforts by the local Fireman and rescue teams for both our major fires are phenomenal. MINI5280 will be gathering supplies and taking them to the local collection centers over the next week or so. One of our club members posted this list of potential needed items. What about a fire relief booth with all the vendors? Having this list would be great, along with any monetary donations being accepted. just a thought.
Don, maybe you should set up a PayPal account linked to a bank account and we could all make donations. This would greatly increase your fundraising and I for one would send you a $20 donation. Be safe Fire sucks, unless you are at a KISS concert.
I like it, I will discuss with our clubs paypal experts and see what might be done. We have our Club MINI5280 paypal for membership and payments, We are using a new ONLINE store for MITM payments. Good idea! , I will see what the folks say. Thanks for the suggestions and support of our fire relief efforts. Don
It's hard to fathom the destruction they show on TV. My dad was the USMC representative to NORAD in the mid 1960's back when they were inside Cheyenne Mountain. Colorado Springs was an important part of my childhood. I would like to do a little something to help too and I like the Paypal idea. Maybe someday we'll motor out for MITM, but not this year I'm afraid.
I would rather make donations to people in the USA that need our help. I have an issue making donations to countries that hate the USA even though we feed them and help rebuild after natural disasters. Charity begins at home.
