    First Mods-Milltek, JCW Strut Brace-Update 15% Pulley

    Hello all,
I got some of my first mods done and thought I would share. After spending some time on the forums researching, I decided on the Milltek Sport cat-back. Here's a look:
Out out of the box, first thing you notice is the hand made quality of the exhaust...beautiful.

Installed new hangers while we were in there.

    Those gorgeous tips :)

First impressions, sound is beautiful, low and subtle on idle and a nice deep roar on accel. Pop and burble is also enhanced...one of my favorite aspects. Butt dyno, feels like it's pulling a little harder. Looking forward to intake and 15% pulley soon. I did not weigh both exhausts, but the Milltek felt considerable lighter.

JCW Strut Brace- Nice bit of bling and also exhibits the hand made quality. A little more stiffness can't hurt either.

Looks great, that is a nice catback system. I really like the flange fit before the split, much better than the slip fit of some other systems. And yeah, this system sounds nice and low.

Not a desease at all, but a disorder! :cornut: Desease sounds like it's a bad thing :D

I've had it on there for a about two weeks now. After roughly 1000 miles it sounds even better.
It's hard to keep your foot off the go pedal...you want to hear sing :D

    Update-15% Pulley

WHOO HOOOOOO...the sound I was making pulling away from the garage :D:D:D

I recently ordered a 15% pulley package (pulley, belt, colder plugs and tensioner stop) from Way Motor Works. I liked the design of this pulley being all stainless steel. It's also great to be able to speak to the man himself, great customer service:Thumbsup: While on that topic, I have to get a shout out to Chad at Detroit Tuned for getting me the tensioner stop shipped in time for the install after being without power for a few days...thanks again! Here's a few pics of the install:

This is a beautiful piece all on it's own...too bad it gets hidden

    New pulley installed-

A little testing before we fire it up-

Butt Dyno says Yesss. This really woke up the little 1.6 litre. It's pulling nice and hard with the sweet spot on the tach 3-5k rpm feeling really strong. Now I'm waiting on one last piece, the new intake to bring these performance mods together. Stay tuned

I have my sights set on Milltek, but the WMW 15% will be first. I already have the tensioner stop. Not sure about doing the pulley on my own, though. What kind of tune are you doing there? You didn't mention if you were doing your own unless I missed it. Looks really good, man. Congrats!

i was curious how youre going to tune this? i have worked with DSMs my whole life and the biggest problem i had was when turning up the boost and not having injectors to support it. also do we have a piggyback or some kind of tuning software that people typically use? i doubt i will be modding mine very aggresively but if i do modify it i want it done perfectly.

Thanks Jeremy. I was only watching and learning on the pulley install. Not really something I wanted to take on myself without the right tools. We did not tune the car, mechanic was simply checking codes before we fired it up. I'm still researching a tune.

No tune yet, still need more info. on that. I'll probably be picking Way's head for ideas on what is next. What are your thoughts?
