I've had my 2012 Mini Hardtop in BRG for 5 weeks. I got my first half a pin head point nick on the edge of my drivers door when I opened it in my garage and hit a piece of plywood. You can hardly see it, but I KNOW IT'S THERE!!! Guess I'll stop by the dealer and get them to touch it up. Don't trust anyone else to do anything on my Mini. May change mind when warranty runs out.

Dont pay someone to do that, do it yourself it is very easy and BRG is a very good color to touch up on...

Grasshopper, speaking of dealer, I NEVER let my dealer wash my car. When I take it in for service, I have a sign on the seat and they make a note of it on the work order. I recommend the same for you if you're really particular.

BTW, 2 weeks after I got my MINI, I got some curb rash. I was bummed out big time. Felt like spending hundreds to have it repaired. I got over it though. You will too with your nick. As long as the paint is not broken, it won't rust.
