I beg to differ. They're rather fantastic choices for rich people who need winter sleds, mall crawlers, and executive family sedans, but don't want to go with a different brand.

    Porsche owners are pretty loyal.

As long as Porsche doesn't turn the Cayman/Boxster or 911 into SUVs or eliminate them entirely, I couldn't care less about the existence of the Macan/Cayenne/Panamera. The brand has flourished since they started offering a wider vehicle lineup.

Now, if only MINI would direct all of the sheeple to the Countryman instead of blandifying the core model, the Cooper.

Come really? That's not the BMW way that would make sense. It's a much better idea to discontinue a car people are buying for something bigger that no one wanted.

I will too. I consider myself lucky to have one in the families stable of cars.

With all of the aesthetic & design improvements it sure is going to be hard not to trade our old one in on the new improved larger clubmanster.

Crash, it's not automatic. The car will have an unhealthy urge to see a plastic surgeon though.

Minimal only works for so long, doe.

Unfortunately, BMW is in the business of selling a lot of cars to a lot of people, and they want to sell more MINIs to more people... unfortunately that means watering down what makes MINI so great.

That being said, the new interiors on the F56 (aside from the dimunitive tachometer, relocated speedometer, and limp clutch pedal) are pretty fantastic. The regular sport seats are better than my JCW Recaros.

The way I see it they aren't selling more cars. At least our local dealer is not. I have seen exactly 1 F56 out in the wilds. All others sit on the dealer lots.

    About that interior, disco lights???

I'm actually seeing quite a few F56's around here. Some days I see more F56's than previous generations...

Same goes for California's sister state... If I drive in certain parts of town there isn't a bit of English to be heard or seen. :(

Yes there is. It's near Guadalajara. I don't remember the name but it's a big retirement location. If you've been to south Florida you know how the Mexicans feel.

The performance models from Subaru are what we think about but they are a sub-nitch. Subaru's nitch is safe, reliable, all-wheel-drive. In the '90s they tried to go mainstream with just front wheel drive. That failed. Other manufacturers have safe and reliable (Toyota) but missed the go anywhere part.

Yes, I can't stand CVTs I will never have another.

Those SUVs and sedans keep the rest of the brand afloat. Without them, we'd have lost Porsche to the automotive grim reaper a long time ago.

I'd rather a Cayman. With a stick, please.

    Yes. That.
