We looked everywhere for one. They wanted to do up some MINI donuts for the folks coming down Saturday. Do you remember where you got them?

I'm with Carol. Can't miss new donuts [emoji507] but I can't be gone too long. Have to get PittMini out for a drive though. He's tired of being in the garage. -
I think I won them at MOTD Bingo a few years back. Jack, minibee, was selling them. -
Jack no longer sells them. Once his run of them ran out he did not have more made.

HAHAHAHAHAHA... great road!
Photo Op before we got dirty.
Donut and treat coma. "Why are we here?" "Because you have to pee every 2 hours."
Maple bacon! Standard Dude will have to tell us how it was.
Oh and we (the girls and K-9s) stopped at the Ale House in Lancaster for lunch. That also was fantastic. I'm all about re-claiming the FUN in this group even if I can't do some of the long drives right now. -
Always thought this was a major point of a car club besides socializing. Granted, there is no membership fee and a ton of free reign for people to slap together a good route anytime. We just need to be more active. Fees typically make people more active within a club because they feel obligated to participate... Kinda like a gym membership and we don't want that. It kinda makes it business like and we are a more relaxed set of gentlemen and gentleladies. Just really need to find a way for people to participate more and I don't have an answer for that except coming up with more drives more frequently and more predictably. When people realize how fun they are then more will join in.
Sorry I couldn't make it. Car is still being worked on because my mechanic just couldn't get to it in time. Should be done by this weekend. -
A different demographic today than in the past (not bad, just different). I hope that activities continue to be planned and those that can attend do so and have fun. I'll get my fill of driving the coupe going to MOTD in a couple of weeks and then MINI's on the MAC. I've settled into more of a freestyle auto hobby without the rigors of organization. Other than the Donut Run at MOTD, I suspect my schedule will be free while down there to explore areas I haven't yet seen. I really want someone else to step up and lead the Donut Run this year as well. This past Saturday I enjoyed working in the yard and hanging out with my wife.

I don't remember it ever being a group with a lot of organized drives. Maybe when I first started hanging out in 2007/2008. There were usually Spring and Fall drives to Amish country that would have 10-15 cars (logistical nightmare since the majority of us just wanted to play follow the leader). Since then it seems like Riverrun and the Brewery Drive are the main events.
The important question to ask yourself is what you are looking for from a club (more drives, more frequent get togethers,..etc) There was a point when I would have agreed that some organization would have been good, but I also realized that it wasn't what the majority of the people wanted (so it was not going to happen). Maybe the climate has changed and people are ready for an organized group or maybe there are new people out there that are looking for something more formal (besides, it would be a good way to rid yourself of all the pesky non-MINIs taking up parking spots at breakfast). -
For those that haven't been on a drive in a while (me included) or ever. I think it would be great if you would join us and I challenge you to join us, as a lot of time and effort goes into these routes and you get to see parts of Ohio you'd never imagine were there. And you make great friends and learn how to drive your car and understand its capabilities as well!

I would love to go on drives with you all. I am new to this forum and I think that sometimes it quality over quantity.
Look forward to meeting you all.
Also is there a 'how to' on this forum? because I am confused by the acronyms like MOTD... -

The idea fizzled away (needed to do more research on legal liability), so now I just have a folder saved on my laptop with different route maps that I have either come up with on my own or re-typed from different drives that I have gone on (I would need to edit a couple of them to remove any reference of the original event name/host before sharing them). -
Thank you, Zapski! I will check that out.
That's a bummer, What is going on with your car? I have a love hate relationship with working on my car.
When is the next run that you all are doing? I am thinking about making a jaunt down in Hocking Hills this week.
Cheers -
