OK, here's the deal. Once the tire was taken off the rim the inside of the tire was chewed up from driving on it once it went flat, so there was no way to tell if it was defect or something else. The rim was perfect, no damage at all still straight and true. They said it could have been a bubble or a curb hit, which I know didn't happen. I guess if I would have stopped immediately they could tell more, but due to my location when it went flat that wasn't an option. I did go with the 5mm spacer as suggested and I'm back on the road.
Aaaarrgh, what is this soccer? We have to figure out who was right! There are no ties!:lol::lol: :deadhorse:
LOL. Well if the OP isn't concerned w/ getting reimbursed for the cost of the tire, then I guess it doesn't matter much. Any shots of the inside of the tire?
No, I went there after work and by the time I finished talking to the tech and getting the tires loaded in the truck I forgot to get a picture. My main reason for the post was to figure one if it was due to rubbing something on the car and since everything pointed to no, I was good with that. Just another one of those unanswered questions...... Which came first the chicken or the keg, I mean egg??? Thanks for all the input, I didn't think it would run this long, lol Mr. Jim
