^^^ It is just a thing that will take time getting used to. After a while you won't notice a thing once your muscle memory kicks in. Love those Renline peddles!
Full disclosure: My MINI doesn't have peddle enhancements & I use the sycros my box of cogs came with.

No problem here in my size 13 feet.

I know this problem all to well. I can't drive my MINI anything but moccasins. Anything else I wear on these wide feet get caught up in the pedals.
It's not that big of a deal for me as I tend to wear moccasins pretty much all the time anyways. But with snow flying and the need to keep the feet dry and warm it becomes a bit of a challenge. I tend to carry a pair of sensible shoes this time of year and do a wardrobe change as needed to drive.
I also changed the pedals to give me a bit more room. I used ones from Custom Aluminum Vehicle Pedals - ULTIMATE PEDALS. The bake and clutch pedals are from a Ferrari.
Not the best image, but will give you an idea of what I did.

I too just have a set of "driving" shoes I wear. If needed I just put a different pair in the boot and change shoes at my destination.

Looks good. I had something like that on my Miata but mostly because the rubber bits had gone away.
I guess I'll adapt as everyone else seems to. -

I have the same problem. It's all about the width. I need a shoe with a wide forefoot so I have to choose shoes based on which car I'm driving. In the MINI, I can't wear boots or anything with a sole wider than the rest of the shoe.
-
I have to remember to wear narrower-soled shoes when I drive the MINI... especially if I plan on driving 'spiritedly'.

Must be an R53 thing. I wear heavy boots all the time.

Never had a problem with my R53 or any R56 I have driven. Although I never drive in boots.

I just installed the Rennline Pedals and I am running into the same problem on every pedal. I bought the accelerator extensions anticipating the need of assistance for H-T but that is not the case. I have modded my dead pedal platform, I have raised it to a more comfortable position, now I am hitting the side on occasion when I release the clutch. I am thinking I might have to mod that pedal a little more to fix that problem.
Anyone in need of the top extension for the Rennline pedal? -
I have wide feet and have no problems with my Rennline pedals. Yes, they are close, especially the brake-accelerator but I like the ease of rolling the throttle on downshifts. I mounted the dead pedal directly to the factory platform as outlined in their directions and have no clearance issues. Sorry you're having problems....great product!

I like the pedals, I think it is something that is just going to take a little getting use to. I have raised my dead pedal almost even with the clutch pedal, I kind of like just rolling of the DP on to the clutch and back, its easier on my knee.

Having owned the car for a few months I will report that my initial trepidation has gone. I either figured out how to drive the car with my work boots or was worrying about it too much in the beginning.
