My wife likes our Ford Expedition..... But yowie does it kill me to put gas in it. When its time to go, I'll probably suggest the replacement be the new Explorer with the turbo V6.

Yeah, the 34 gallon tank will hurt a little to fill up. I have a friend who has the EL and it sounds like it isn't much thirstier than the flex with the ecoboost.

We get about 9 miles to the gallon. It pushes a lot of air on the freeway. But it has room for all our horse stuff.

I hope that is with pulling a trailer. My friend's EL gets 16 around town and about 20 on the highway.

Pretty much. 15 inches longer than the regular one.

My wife had a K2500 Suburban with a 454 for a couple of years. She loved it, and it pulled our 3-horse slant load trailer, with 3 horses and all the gear in the dressing room, plus 3-4 people in the truck with no problems. To top it off, we got 18 mpg on the interstate. Pretty nice ride.
