After just watching some of the Super GT race from Susuka didn't that series
come to the states several years ago for a one off race? I can't remember
what track they ran on but I do remember watching it. COTA maybe? -

During practice today for the Long Beach GP one of the Ford GTs caught fire in the engine compartment. I think that means it has now officially joined the supercar ranks.
