The site is displayed in more friendly manner for a smaller screen size. I use the app on the iPhone, not on the iPad. Not sure how it will look on a 7" type tablet. I really don't have a use for an iPad Mini but will seek to experiment on one at the Apple Store if I ever go to the Mall again. Use the app on a phone, save your money on a tablet and use the native browser.
I got my iPad 3 just so I could browse M/A without carring around my older craptop or squinting on my iPhone.
