Who here plays Forza 5 and wants to partake in a little championship series I have been putting together?

This only applies to Forza 5 available only on the Xbox One.

The series is going to be over 12 races in the classic Austin Mini Cooper. We will be running a D class setup that I will provide when the grid is filled. I am looking for 15 other players. Once the grid is filled, I will provide the dates for the races to accommodate for time zone differences and such.

    Series details are as follows.

    Car: 1969 Austin Mini Cooper

    Class: D400

    1. Road Atlanta Club Circuit-30 Minutes

    2. Circuit de Catalunya National Circuit-30 Minutes

    3. Long Beach East Route-40 Minutes

    4. Yas Marina Circuit North Circuit-30 Minutes

    5. Bernese Alps Stadtplatz Reverse-30 Minutes

    6. Laguna Seca-30 Minutes

    Points

    1st Place: 20 points

    2nd Place: 18 points

    3rd Place: 16 points

    4th Place: 14 points

    5th Place: 12 points

    6th Place: 10 points

    7th Place: 8 points

    8th Place: 6 points

    9th Place: 4 points

    10th Place: 2 points

    11th-16th Place: 1 point

    Restrictions

Car must be the Austin Mini Cooper with the provided D Class tune that I will provide. There will be no tuning allowed.

Individual paintjobs are not required but its always fun to see what people come up with :D

Qualifying will be a 10 minute session that will set the grid for the next race. The races will include 1 warmup lap to allow for tires to be warmed up and for everyone to get into their proper grid position. Once the grid is set, I will determine a time via the race timer to start the race. There will be no 3, 2, 1, Go. You must watch the race clock for the time to pop.

Collisions and damage will be on. I am a fan of close racing. Some rubbing is allowed but no barging people off of the track and no ramming where avoidable. If more than 3 cars are taken out in a wreck at the start of the race (corner 1) the race will be reset. Any damage causing wrecks afterwards that require a pit stop will have to be fixed in race. Hopefully this will generate some close racing that is fair. Absolutely no pitting other drivers. This can result in a next race ban. Repeat offenders will be removed from the series. I encourage all racers to save the replay from the races and any questionable moves to be brought up and we will discuss penalties if needed. Corner cutting will not be tolerated at all. Cutting a corner to avoid a major collision is acceptable but positions gained must be given up. Cutting for the soul purpose of gaining track position will result in a back of the pack assignment for the next race, regardless of qualifying time.

I do encourage practice in your free time. Knowing the car and the track is highly recommended. There will be between a 1-2 week gap between races. With the schedule posted, you will know which race is coming up. Practice makes perfect (and good racing!)

A headset is HIGHLY encouraged to allow for communication between drivers to call passes. If another driver is clearly faster than you, your encouraged to race them but deliberate blocking that can result in a crash is discouraged. Don't ruin another drivers race because your not as fast as them.

The most important requirement is that we all have a good time. This is a video game. Let us not forget that. Championship winner will hold the title until the next season.

Once the grid is filled or 4 weeks has elapsed since this post, the series will begin. I will be broadcasting each race VIA Twitch.tv so if you don't make it into this season's roster, you can still enjoy the racing. I would encourage all participants to do the same. I will also do a replay broadcast on my Twitch account the day after the race. A post season review/highlights video will be put together for everyones viewing pleasure.

If you are interested, please post on here your interest in participating and send me a friend request on Xbox Live along with a message saying that you want to participate. Again, once the grid is full or 4 weeks have elapsed since this post, the series will begin. My gamertag is SGSUPERMAN105

Sounds like fun.......may need to locate a copy of Forza 5. Haven't been real impressed with the Xbox racing games as the controller is not racing friendly and there is no reasonably priced decent wheel available.

    What controller do you use?

I use the controller that comes with the Xbox One. It works for me until I get a wheel and pedal setup. With the rumble in the triggers, you can really feel the abs and wheel slip on acceleration. My driving has gotten so much faster because of it.

So you have an Xbox One? Are the online games compatible with the 360?

Nothing is backwards compatible from Xbox 360 to Xbox One.

You might want to mention in the op that this is for Xbox One only then.

wish I had an xbox one, sounds like a lot of fun. Stopped playing forza 4 for 360 since everyone drives a super car or honda civic and they hate hard on the MINIs.

Actually created a MINI that looks exactly like mine, minus the blacked out chrome.
