I don't know a 2006 MCS owner that hasn't had that work done. Some get lucky and catch it under warranty.

Yep. My housing was fine - but the integrated rubber seal on the thermostat was deformed. Fixed under warranty.

Second gen is totally different. We got leaky thermostats. You got clackety timing chains.
I'll take the thermostat. :lol: -
