I took mine to Hobby Lobby. They will do it for you. Sale going on right now... It cost me $31 to dry mount on black mat, and they framed for me while I waited.
Their posters are an off size, so you will need to go with an 18" x 24" frame and then have mat cut to fit, then have it dry mounted. Worked on both the Dragon poster and the MINI v Porsche posters.
Came out great!

agranger MINI of the Month June 2009Supporting MemberYep... Michaels, Hobby Lobby and other arts-n-crafty type stores will have framing departments where you can either find a pre-made frame, buy a kit by selecting the proper length side rails, top rails and corners to make your own or just hand it over to the folks back there and they will make one for you on the spot or over the next day or two. My local place will run a 1/2 off sale a few times a year if you don't mind waiting a bit to save a few bucks.
You can also go to a framing store and have it done that way... you get a much larger selection of frames + matting + mounting + glass, but you are gonna pay for it. I'd expect well over $100 for a poster-sized framing job at a 'framing store'. -

Staples will mount it on that foam core board stuff in black if you like that look.

Nathan,
Go to a craft store by you, and buy a frame. The only thing I've paid to be professionally framed are my degrees... I figure a few more hundred dollars on the thousands I paid to get them didn't really matter
I haven't measured it, but if it's a standard size, you will have a lot of frames to choose from. -
Yes. They are the same size.

Did any one else click in thinking d@mn, he got his panoramic already?!?
I like the idea of a float frame, that will look nice.
If you want to go the matting route, most craft stores that will frame stuff for you will also sell you the matting so you can cut your own. A sharp exacto will cut through the matting. It's a pretty simple task IMO. -

How's the Derrick Bell Book? I just got Peter Warr's Team Lotus, My View from the Pit Wall. We should swap.

18" x 24" standard frame at Hobby Lobby is the one I used. They carry them and they are on sale a lot. I got mine a couple of years apart, but they are still the same. Normally run about $29, but got them half off. Add back in the cost of the mat and hanger kit, it ended up being $31.

What size matte? Thanks for the heads up! -
I use the removable doublestick tabs for my panoramics and that has been working great for a few years now. I do have them inside where they arent subject to as much temperature extremes (in case that matters for longevity).
-
I actually just have them dry mount it to the front of the matte. No cutting required and no loss of edges to the matte.
-
I had mine laminated quick before I could damage them. They will be put up in the laundry room with my panoramic photos with thumbtacks through the laminate only.
Now I feel bad cause I never thought to frame them... -
I ordered mine from Joann.com and the frames are the exact sizes. I found a 15% off coupon online, so they ended being $32 for two of then. They are supposed to be delivered today. My friend tried to order one from the website on Sunday, but the frames are currently out of stock.
