They will keep the track the same but make it safer just like every other track NASCAR owns. For those that don't like NASCAR this will be a good thing because they will put money into the race track and bring other non NASCAR races to the track.

They haven't seemed to screw up Watkins Glen. In fact have improved it over the years.

I have been attending races at Laguna Seca for 37 years. I am not sure about this change if it happens. I can see pros and cons.
- SCRAMP is a non-profit organization which has donated a lot of money to local organizations over it's 58 years. This helps allow Laguna Seca to keep having races in a county park with more homes getting closer and closer to the track. I wonder what pull a for profit company well have against the people (with political connections) that start complaining about the track noise impacting their beautiful home re-sale values.
- I also worry about ticket, parking, and concession prices but that is not so much a concern as keeping the unique character of the track and local operating organization.
- I am sure ISC can do a great job operating the facility.-

My first reaction was somewhat withdrawn but realizing the success they've made of NASCAR perhaps it's a good move.

The Glen is a way better (albeit less mischiefy fun) place to see a race now than 15 years ago.

The Glen used to be a more interesting place

I was talking to some of the SCRAMP officials in August and there seems to be a lot of animosity towards the County Board. From the one sided viewpoint it seems like the County Board (mainly one member) is out looking for money without the best interest of the track or county non-profit organizations. Looks like the bridge has been burnt down and will take a while to rebuild and may not be full repairable until county board membership changes.
I saw many people wearing pins that state Keep Laguna Seca Local. -

So, continuation of status quo, which seems like a good thing, for now.
