    Had a friend here in the car biz who brought one of these over back in the day, it was a hoot and scary as hell to drive. :)

    He sold it off to build another BMW 1600/2002 race car, if memory serves, I think he should have kept the R5 for me to drive.

    The Turbo 2 is an Awesome car, I've seen a few running around in CA. A co-worker has a friend who has one in FL......but I'll take the 6R4 any day.

    Saw an R5 Turbo next to an A110 Alpine at Road America. Must confess, I only took photos of the Alpine, but I do recall how cool that car was back when it was new. I saw it a few times on public roads in France in the 80s - what a head turner with those wide fenders. They built only 3576 of these over 4 years.
