Greetings to all. A week ago I sold my 2000 red C5 Corvette Convertible. In less than a week, I now own a great 2007 red with white top Mini S, 6 speed manual. What a fun factor this car has. Excited to be a new owner and look forward to learning on this forum, Ron

    Me TOO Ron !!!

I had a 1998 Corvette Coupe and traded it in on my 2009 factory JCW and never looked back. (Purchased Oct. 30th. 2008)

Way cheaper insurance, Way better gas mileage, easier to get in & out of, More comfortable, I Can actually carry things, Way better handling and faster jump from 40 to 140 then my Vette ever was. It is way more fun to drive and I don't miss the Corvette at all.

    Another Ron

Went from a 72' Stingray to the Mini myself! Miss the classic Vette but the Mini is so much more fun on the road and on the track!!! :)

    Ron,

Glad to have you here Ron. I too have a 2008 MCSc in Chili Red. I will love it! If Jim goes on about the drag coefficient or the superior gas milage of his Justa', dont worry he's harmless.

    Ronnie,

I didn't know the factory JCW was available in 1998 otherwise I would've ordered one

    It's all good guys!

Hey Ron, I goof on my part.

I edited my post and fixed the date. I bought my 2009 factory JCW October 30th. 2008. My Vette was a 1998.:donut1:

Still got my 2004 C5 convertible, along with my 2004 "S, and a 2004 "JCW" , plus a 2010 "JCW" Clubman, now enjoying our new 2011 BMW "1M".

Love them all, can't bring myself to sell any of them, well maybe my 2004 "S".

The best car I have ever had was !!!!!!!!!!!

    This:
    Fiat1959two.jpg

I should not say best but "Favorite" car.

My 1959 Fiat 500 (The Original)

I was 16 years old and driving a brand new car.

The dealer had a brand new 1959 Mini on the showroom floor but it was not for sale at that time. If it was I probably would have bought that one. I did not want to order a car and wait months for it. If not for that I would have had one of the first Mini's.

    ********************************************BUT*****************************************************************

Seriously, This Mini JCW is really the best car I have ever had. It does it all and if I do get another car it will be another Mini.

I have had a 1966 427 vette, a 1968 350 vette and a 1998 vette and I still like the way my Mini Cooper JCW drives the best.

If I did buy the 1959 Mini I probably would say that that was my favorite car.

Its interesting to see that original F500. I'd say externally not a lot has changed in the new model. That can be a good thing and a bad thing

a lot of difference except in the looks department

My 1959 was air cooled two cylinder, No air conditioning, and the top was manual.

The new ones are front engine front wheel drive with all of the latest Do-Dads.

    Fiat1959one.jpg

I kept it a year then traded it on this:

I have always liked small cars even though I have owned some big ones.
