For Sale is my beloved 2002 MINI Cooper S in Electric Blue/White with Sport Package. This is #TD50848, an April '02 build. It's one of those early MINI's you sometimes hear about that never has a problem and has been blessed with amazing reliability.

I've owned the car from June '07, when it was bone stock. Since then I've rebuild the car and transformed it into an open-track day and HPDE monster that can genuinely hang with stock Lotus Elises on similar tires and brake pads. That makes this car an unusual machine in terms of pricing. Obviously, you won't be able to buy and prepare a MINI for my relatively tiny asking price of $14k, so I hope everyone sees the value of this car.

Basically, I build this car to be amazing at track-work. You simply can't build a real car that you can drive on the street with reasonable comfort and safety that's as quick as my MINI on the track. The body is quite clean, but not flawless, there are some minor dings but nothing embarrassing. There is ZERO rust on the unibody. It still gets 26 MPG during my commute to work, and about 7-8 MPG at most tracks.

If you can see the garage on NAM, that should have most of the latest info: MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - Ryephile's Garage :: #848

I'm asking $14k, but I'm flexible. Ask me questions, there's a LOT to talk about regarding all the details of the car, its setup and performance.

    Cheers, and thanks for looking,
    Ryan

$14k for a well-sorted track car. That, my friends, is a deal.

Sad to see it go. What are you getting as a replacement or aren't replacing.

Thanks for the kind words! Like Camaro said, this car hauls at the Dragon. Now that the car is rocking the 5" stroke TSW-KW V3's, it's rock-solid predictable through the crazy undulating broken pavement too.

Regarding the rumors floating around, I recently got into a supercharged Elise. I need to pay for that, so the MINI unfortunately has to move on to a fellow MINIac. I wish I was rich enough to maintain two track cars!

Tell your MINI-less friends they're foolish not to take advantage of this deal!

Rye, is this still for sale? I'm really interested.

I've gotten to the point that I'm about to pull the trigger for a set of JCW seats (almost 4K and a rollcage)

I'd love to have a dedicated track car.
