I was not trying to put anyone down (as is done on the forum you must be speaking of), but merely giving an honest feeling. When buying through an on line company, one has to feel somewhat certain that it is above board (as Rally said) and this one raises red flags to me. I was pointing them out so they could be fixed (if they so desire) or not. I also wished them well with their project.

I agree there is a fine line between a flame job and honest critique and even more so by the written word without seeing into someone else's voice inflections and body language. Very limiting

As a survivor of the other site my feel of Jim;s comment and mine, I feel at least, was helpfull in nature

 

Hmm....is the website different than the site here on MA? I was ok with it? What are you guys not seeing? I have talked with Terry on the phone, he is in his third year of med school, very busy, and is doing the Mini wing as a favor to us. Hopefully in a few weeks I can post pics of my wing :cornut:

 

This is going no place.

The point is that frankly the site looks to be amateur in its creation. To some that begs the question is the product the same.

In this day and age your website often the first view a client has of you. Much like if you were creating a print ad you would want to make it compelling and grab the user right from the get go.

Not withstanding the fact that Terry is in med school and this is a side project the site does no give a professional appearance.

I'm sorry to say that but that is the reality of things in this day and age.

I can't tell you how much I obsess over where things are on a site when I work with my clients to provide them a professional look and feel.

We are done here.

 

Thanks Jim, and all the critiques. He is right, I'm a med school student. I started this with friends from all areas. We've got engineers from CalTech, designers from Art Center and CS from UCLA. I believe the stuff that we make are legit. We will improve our website as we expand. Our one and only goal is to provide good stuff for BMW MINI and Porsche so yeah let's just focus on our products. =)

Earlier this year, I saw the post regarding to GP spoiler on NAM. Everyone is curious about it, trying to find the solution. Rumors and random talks are all over. 4 years later, there's still no body came up with anything. So i jumped in the forum and said that I'll make it. Nobody believes me and tries to put me down. When I said the prototype is out, everyone thinks the photo is fake and private msg me with negative comments. Now the spoiler is finally available, and I still see comments like "I am not all that certain that you really have any wings for sale" Anyway, I just want to say, there are people out there with the product, they might not be on this forum but doesn't mean they don't exist. Anyway, there will be more products coming up soon. Again, we are open to any suggestion and comments!

 

You could send me one. :devil:..that would put all the naysayers saying there is no product to rest..

I'm kidding....please don't send one, I don't work that way.

I'd buy one if I had the cash flow, but also, it's not in the cards right now.

 

just wanted to post a follow-up as I seemed to stir up things with my post. I intended my comment as constructive - I took the time to seek out your webpage and I don't even own a MINI anymore. After I did, it was with great shock that I found it difficult - a single page with static content would be more useful/helpful if nobody's got the time/skills to flesh out a proper site design.

Small Business websites sucks to start. Keep up the product innovations and don't worry so much website critics.:crazy:

I for one think your product looks very nice, new business start ups rarely have alot of money to pay for web design, your site seems fine to me for the one or two products you currently offer,as you expand your product line funding for web design will come.
KUDOS ! to you , motor on !
