Except Graham county is a "Dry" county. That's why I always bring 3 + cases of beer.

Does the gas station at the entrance to Fontana still sell beer?

If you are coming with a group of friends, if someone were to bring along a 2-3 gallon gas can, it could be kept at a central location for just such emergencies (all of my Dallas peeps knew that I had a few gallons stashed at my camper and that they were welcome to borrow them as long as they promptly refilled and replaced the can). Unfortunately, I won't be there for backup this year.
I think I got gas every day while at the Dragon. If you are ever on your way back to Fontana and pass a station or if you are under 1/2 a tank, it's always a good idea to stop. You never know how long it will be before you see another out there. -
I always thought that the station at Deal's Gap was for motorcycles only. I've never gotten gas there.

Fuel up at the beginning of the day and you should be good for the day. I just got back from the Dragon on Sunday. I was out there for 10 hours a day on Friday and Saturday (129, Skyway, Rt. 28, etc.) and a tank was plenty. Thunder Mountain on the NC side of the Skyway has premium and there's plenty of fuel in Robbinsville.

They had the same event last year. We could not get on the parking lot till after 11:30 PM for the Midnight drive.
It's a big area, lots of others will be there too that weekend. The TT Group is usually there that weekend too. The Rotary folks start showing up Saturday too. -

It's a shame that we can't work out a volume discount on the price of premium if we utilize them as our exclusive MOTD supplier. :smile5:
