Latest Mini Design@Home event in Munich gave fans a sneak peak of what the a future mini might look like. From the concept art, it is obvious that they will be using a similar grille than the current model, but will have extras like the full-LED headlights with outer rings that function as daytime running lights. The car will come with the iconic contrasting roof color and black pillars that have been featured so many times. The rear of the Mini Vision looks to have more shape than the current model and changes were also made on the lights. The larger light seems to be cut into the car’s body. Mini commented that all parts of the mini work together to help the aerodynamics of the car and those includes the door mirrors, wheel rims and air intakes around the front wheel arch The interior of the car looks very retro, but retro with a technological twist.
No way does that meet the EU pedestrian safety requirements..... If it does then MINI's excuse for the 3rd generation front end is a bunch of bullwackie....
Why they couldnt stuff the new motor in that design, with a true 4 wheel double wishbone suspension... That I could see myself driving.
A definite improvement over what is on the sales floor now. Very clean lines, nice proportions and it even resembles a MINI. Looks like a winner!!

Notice how the "Pedestrian Safety" is starting to slowly creep into the front end.... Nose is getting longer.....
Wow... the F56 is barely in showrooms and they are teasing the next model already? Someone needs to take a step back and examine the message of the whole marketing program. Right now it screams "We think our current design is so flawed that we want you to see the next model so you won't leave us." Release one model... let it sit in the spotlight... THEN start talking next gen.
Its like all the bicyclists here... Evidently people stopped teaching their kids that if you play in the street you are going to get hit. People use to know better, but with the crap PC and equality to all BS that you are allowed to do whatever you want those days are sadly gone. And now we have this, all because people always think they are right.
I just moved to CA and I'm constantly amazed at pedestrian behavior... I went digging through the CA DMV handbook a year ago and found a few interesting bits. 1) A pedestrian always has the right of way in a cross walk. 2) A crosswalk is ANYWHERE that a pedestrian might want to cross the street. So... yep.... you are getting it.... A pedestrian can walk whereverthe****theywant and all cars have to come to a screeching stop to let them cross. Marked crosswalks? Yep! Street corners? Yep? Middle of the block (aka: Jaywalking)? Yep! In CA, the pedestrian IS always right! I came to a sudden stop on a 3 lane road (45 MPH speed limit) because two people who were walking down the sidewalk suddenly changed direction in the middle of the block to cross the street, stepping off the curb into the street without looking (or pausing, or even giving an indication that they wanted to go across the street). I was in sport mode in the new P-car and the DSG transmission did 2 quick downshifts (some great rev-matching sounds) while I was smothering the brakes. One of the pedestrians never looked up from his phone. The other heard the donwshifts and turned back to give me a nasty look (perhaps he WANTED to die while jaywalking and was upset that I had just saved his life). If adult idiots think that it's safe to step into the street without looking want to do so, I'm all for it... it only deepens the gene pool.
I'm here to tell you that California is a totally different country, in a totally unrelated different galaxy.... And many of the individuals there are operating on a totally different dimension than normal people on this planet...
