This is just pure speculation given the news today that Toyota will supply BMW with hybrid drivetrain systems and hydrogen fuel cell technology. From LeftLane News.
......BMW has also been working with France’s PSA, the builder of Peugeot and Citroen vehicles, to create small hybrid powertrains. But PSA’s recent, increasingly expansive tie-up with General Motors has put its relationship with BMW on the rocks...... This might be a good thing.... Now if BMW /MINI would just connect up with MAZDA and use their gas turbo and skyactive diesel technology on MINI development......
