We just bought a 1490T series, and it looks like Amazon is selling the OBD for $130. Prime no shipping.

Should have it on Tuesday, will let you know how it works.

Mark, just read a review by another owner and it sounds like it does everything they claim that it will do. Real bummer in my case, as I can't justify a new GPS right now.
Jim -
lotsie Club CoordinatorCan you post a link to the review?

HEY, you took me to the sewing site, which always gets me in poo:incazzato:
rrr::lol::lol::lol:.
Thanks though
Looks like it will do what I want on the Clubbie, plus let me hook it up to old Poco.

I didn't know if I was breaking any rules here, so I started to PM you. Then I thought you said you were banned from there, so I just took a chance and gave you the link.
What Garmin did you move from to the new one? I have the Nuvi 760, with bluetooth, traffic and such. My mount/charging unit is hard wired in so, is the mount/charger the same for the newer versions? My cable is run behind the dash and I do not want to take that all apart again.

No rules broken. I'm not paranoid, links can go anyplace within the bounds of reasonable tastes...

I was given a holiday, but not banned. Don't say anything about a guy hiding behind a curtain over there:rolleyes5::ihih:.
We have a Nuvi 350 that rides in Poco. The OBD will be linked to the 1490 that is in the Clubbie.

Ha Ha Ha....
You have got to be kidding me. In other words, they made you go sit in the corner, because you said something about a guy hiding behind a curtain over there? :frown2: -
lotsie Club CoordinatorWell, he had his version of the guy behind the curtain, and I had my version of the guy LURKING behind the curtain:lol:

Wasn't there some talk of gauges and nav devices around here?

Thanks Nathan, you have nothing to worry about. I am not sure if there was a post here about the Garmin HD or not. At any rate the information is out there now and I might have to try and figure out a way to get another GPS in the car without the wife realizing I did it. :nonod:
Jim -
lotsie Club CoordinatorSorry, forgot that part. The holder is different, but they both fit on the same suction cup base with the ball socket. The charger plugs directly into the 1490, unlike the 350, which plugs into the mount, but the plug is the same. So as long as you have the ball socket swivel you should be good to go.
Mark
I'll check tomorrow to make sure, then let you know. -
For what it's worth Garmin was pretty clear on what units would and would not work with the Eco Route HD via the OBD on their website. Not to rub salt in the wound but they were pretty upfront about it

Both the charging plug, and the ball socket swivel thing are the same. Just tried the 1490 in Poco, which has an older nuvi 350.
Jim, just tell your wife you did a software upgrade, and you got not only new software features, but it changed the look of the GPS:ihih::lol:.
Mark -
I already used that one when I told her I "adjusted" the bushing in the torque arm ather then "replaced them". Besides, she can actually see the GPS.
I saw a 1490 today (bolted to the wall), but it looked like the charging plug attaches to the outside, top left corner. Is this correct?
