Yeah it jumped twenty cents this morning here in OKC too. UGH. I filled up, and the guy walked out to change the signs while I was still pumping. I got lucky! However we're leaving tonight on a road trip to Atlanta. Guess I need to set aside extra money for gas than I had planned. *sigh*
:cornut: 93 octane today @ Mobil in Sherman,TX was $3.64/gal(for a fill up, no fill up $3.74/gal) Jason
I paid $4.35 here at home for premium the other day. I spent $4.31 in Paso yesterday... What a see-saw.
Let's not forget the effects of futures trading. Right now with a topical storm in the Gulf of Mexico, the price has moved here by twenty cents a gallon in less than 48 hours. The gas stations bought the fuel before the storm, but prices will certainly rise with an interruption due to a refinery shutdown.
I snapped this pic at the pumps this morning while filling up for a morning foothill cruise. Yep, it reads $4.99.9 Gotta love it!
Keep voting idiots into office that don't want us to use our own natural resources and you will continue to see your money redistributed to those places that will... Hopefully in the next few years we will find viable cost effective energy resources other than oil and coal, but until then, we need to harvest our resources. Supply and demand is real, I don't care what the Kool-aide says.
You know it's bad when......I don't even want to drive either of our Minis.....we have been using the wife's company car....Altima hybrid....sad isn't it
Prices sure have dropped recently here in Ohio. Paid $3.39 for 93 at a Shell yesterday. Predictions are that due to low demand, higher inventories and winter gas blends coming online the price will fall even more.
$3.39? Haven't seen that in a longgggg time here, can't even remember that price? Just spent $4.29 for Premium yesterday, and that was at Costco, add another .30 on to that if going to Shell or Chevron
$3.39/gal? Luxury. Just filled up with Shell 93 for $1.37/Litre. Yeah, that's $5.18 per gallon! 38% of that is taxes.
$8.50 a US gallon of diesel here. Though getting about 40 USmpg even when cruising at 80 mph and nearly 50 USmpg around town helps. Oh, and did I mention 220 ft-lb of torque?.......
