Has anyone with the Cravenspeed Pods have issues with the right side contacting the dash vent? None of the parts appear bent; A bracket is straight and all the spacers were installing properly, but the 52mm pod doesn't clear the vent surround. It's off to the hardware store for a spacer and a longer bolt I guess.

Kellen (Cravenspeed) was quick to offer help. He offered to send longer bolts and spacers but I was able to get those at the local hardware store. A 1/4" nylon spacer and 1/4" longer bolt works perfectly. Still close but doesn't touch. I bet the Y splitter is about 1/4" deep. The 1/4" puts the pod face even with the tach trim.

Ok so I know this is a very old thread but I am in the process of installing the Marshall Gauges. I am trying to figure out or find an illumination wire for the gauges. Where should I be looking? I have a 2006 Mini Cooper S. Is there a fuse I can put add a circuit on or do I need find an actual wire. What number fuses should I be using. F5, F9 , F12 & F40 all are designated as Instruments in the Bentley Manual so I don't know which to use for the lights on gauges. Is there something I am missing.
I appreciate the help. Thanks

If I'm not mistaking, I picked up that power from the hot lead that serves the cig lighter... It could be the brown wire, I can't be sure....

Thanks for the quick responses. I did find a link that discusses the possibility of using the gray wire that it part of the wires from the tachometer. I am going to check that out tomorrow afternoon. If that doesn't work I will give a call to Steve at "Custom Mini Shop"
Thanks again for the responses. I will let you know what I find out. -
I have my Marshall Gauges (Oil Pressure & Boost) all wired up to the interior lights. I used the plug that goes into the back of the Tachometer to tap into the illumination for the gauges. I took the suggestion on one of the sites I visited and tapped into the gray wire with a small red line for the gauge illumination. It worked great. I finished all of the work under the dash and have the necessary wires through the firewall. I used add a fuse link to make the connection for the ignition and went to the engine bay fuse box for the battery power.
The gauges are not hooked up to the sender or vacuum line yet, but everything else is complete. I hope to be able to get them hooked up on Thursday afternoon. It took a lot longer than I thought but I was very deliberate and careful in running all of the wiring. Here are a couple of picts. I also really like the Marshall Gauges because they are a very close match the Mini Gauges and the chrome trim.
Thanks for all of your help.
