Now here is the thing, those threads could be SAE or possibly metric, so you will need to verify the type of threads. Easy to do, take the one remaining screw to Lowe's and use their thread checker. They also have a pretty nice assortment of "Thumb Screws" so you may just luck out.

If that doesn't work there is always McMaster-Carr......

If you add a small serrated or split washer, they won't back off as easy in the future....

 

I'd sent a note to the company that makes the gauges and ask them for one.

 

Send a note to Kellen at Craven, or give him a ring. I'm sure he will help you get a new one.

Regardless of your final solution I'd follow Metalman's suggestion of adding a lock washer, or Loctite, even to the surving nut. :wink:

 

If all you are using on that sending unit is the one post, as I bet you might be, simply use the other nut and a lock washer as was suggested earlier. I can't tell if you have a remote sending unit there for that application, but if that's a Marshall set-up, the one post serves no function. Try it and see what happens. Otherwise just take the remaining nut to the hardware store and find a suitable replacement.....

Thread is M4 x .7.

Firebro is right, you only need a wire to be hooked up to the side marked G, so you should be able to just move the one you have over.
