He is looking at doing this as a service. All of that information falls into the "trade secrets" category.

You can look at some of the links I posted in post #8 for examples in other colors. In particular, browse the EssentialMINI website for examples in many different color combinations.

Nice look with the red line area more pronounced on the tachometer. OEM went a little overboard with the orange. More colors?:cornut:

Interior Flair has been doing this and other electronics for 30 years so it really was not all that much work and not near as hard as other vehicles converted in the past. All required components are already in stock and the correct tools and skills make it totally possible!

    We need more test subjects!

    Exactly!

I wish you guys were closer. I would bring the car over. We have always wanted it to be red and blue.

We cannot post prices on this forum at this time because that would be selling a service without sponsor/vendor status. Nathan has been more than gracious to work with us to obtain a prototype and gauge interest after the result but until we are able to fully test the market, we can be contacted through PM for further correspondence. Oh, we are located in Dallas.

Are you looking for another 1st generation car to be a test subject?

I am interested however, as you know I have one issue that I'll toss out in public. As owner of this site would it be looked upon poorly if my own car was used at little to no cost to me. In other words, would this be see as you, the site membership, that I was being less than transparent.

Only if people were lining up at the door to get this done, and you jumped the queue. I say go for it.

Nathan, I see no conflict as long you're treated as the same as any other tester. It would be a different issue if they were already selling the service and you didn't have to pay for yours.

Nothing ever became of this, the OP has not been inline here since 04-14-2010 either. You can try and contact them but I then again I've heard nothing in 1.5 years. Good luck with it and let us know if you find anything out please.
