Found this spy shot of the first GP3 being transported to the dealer. It's smaller than I thought it would be.

When I listen to the shifts this makes I hear a PDKish/DSG shift sound. What say you?

I like automated manuals so I don't see that as a bad thing. Yes I know stick shifts forever. At least until your left knee wears out.

Now Dave you are exaggerating. Those definitely are not cheese graters. They are pizza slicers & everyone loves pizza. That beautiful wing made to resemble the aerodynamic properties of a basset hounds ears. Cutting edge stuff right there. :Whistling:

To each their own.. personally I saw the prototype in person and loved it. Can't wait to see the final version. Plus the engine has real potential for tuning. :Stig:

I do hope they make stick and PDK/DSG available. I personally would want a stick until my knee wears out... which I'm sure will be sometime soon. :Nailbiting:

I really don't like the way that the new GP looks. I get that there had to be compromises from the concept to production, but it just doesn't look good at all. The flares look really cheap and almost as an after thought. However, I wouldn't mind the 300 horses under the hood.

Yes to each their own. I like basset hounds so it's all good. :)

I love stick shits, always have. Unfortunately I came to the point where my left knee is good & truly worn out. Thank God for VW's DSG it saved me from a CVT.

Now the rumors are 335 BHP and a price of over $50 grand.

They want orders on a vehicle with a fairly large window on price that may or may not have carbon fiber panels and the final production version isn’t absolutely settled on yet. WOW is almost a understatement.

Well, it's off the list. Automatic slushbox confirmed. Same shifter lever the BMW uses for that useless 8 speed auto.

In a BMW X1. Slightly different styling same shifter though.

That ZF 8 speed is a trash gearbox.

    I am VERY disappointed.

Out of curiosity why is it trash? Reliability? I've only experienced it briefly in a loner and I found that it shifted much better than the auto in our clubby.

@Redbeard Me too! I don't get them doing this when this car is aimed at the enthusiast.

Which video has the correct car in it. The video close to the top of this page April 22, is a much tuned down version of what was originally shown a couple years ago. The video Dave posted April 24th still looks like the original but has price tag of over $70,000

So would you rather have to top car for $50,000 plus
or the 2nd car for $70,000 plus.....

Being in the +50k to +70k arena it had better be really good car that recognizes its niche and the enthusiast that would want to own one. I’m not so sure that those parameters are being met.

There is so much about this car that doesn't do it for me. I guess the only thing that doesn't bother me about this car is the dual clutch gearbox. Having lived with a DSG four years I really like it. They should have put a manual in this car. Oh & that pricing if true is justa nuts. :Dead:

Maybe they thought it would sell faster with an auto.
