I like the looks of it as far as a 4 door car goes.. They did keep it with AWD atleast, and plenty of power/torque. Question is, will the base price be more then the Mustang GT of $33,000 with it's 435 HP

Yeah it does have some very nice specs 320 HP and 320 Tq but the 4 doors kills it for me.

That's a damn shame. I agree on the front but then it does look better that any new MINI. :rolleyes5:

Subie doesn't even make a 2 door Impreza any more. Ford's North American factory doesn't make the 2 door Fiesta. Importing the one from Europe would make it cost too much.

The RS will cost a lot more so bringing it from Europe works. It's all about the money and affordable 2 doors and wagons don't seem to be "in".

I'm sure it will be higher, an ST2 is just about $30k. But they are two entirely different approaches. Most people won't cross shop them.

The Mazda Speed3 is the best looking 4 Door Tuner Car to me.. Just looks alone from the factory..

This car makes me wish I would have kept the Clubby (likely would have been paid off when the RS started showing up)....:frown2:

Someone needs to photo shop the pedestrian bumper thingy to body color. Just like on the new MINIs. Why do they all make it black instead of painting it body color so it like like part of the bumper and let it blend in better..

They could at least camouflage it a little better...
The new Toyota Camry meets the new regs, and the crash beam sorta hides... Or the rest of the front is just that ugly!

I heard Ken was involved in building this car...??? maybe that's a marketing thing? currently I'm not loving this car, just not aggresive enough to be road burner. In the UK there is a cult following for all RS Fords but I doubt the EVO/Impreza guys will be beating a path to Ford but saying that Ford are dipping their toe in the market and may bring something bad arse later.

I agree with that--it just doesn't look bad ass enough. The old RS was in your face relative to what was out there at the time; this one isn't as over the top aggressive compared to the ST. I suspect Ford toned it down a bit to what they could have done for the U.S. market. I still like it, and the way it looks, but I can't help feeling it could've been so much better.

At least the wait is over. The only thing left is the Civic type R, shooting to be the fastest front wheel drive production car on the ring. Not the same class as the AWD Focus, but the only thing left that interests me. Of all the new hot hatches (and the now hatchless Sti), the best out of the bunch is looking like the Golf R. Except I can't stand the way it looks.

The Alfa Spider looks awesome, finally someone other than Lotus going light. But....it's at least an 18 month wait, after you get on the list, IF you can get on the list. They aren't making many, which will be great for resale, but they're tough to get. I seriously considered it, but after reading some reviews I passed on it. Was tough though, and I may be kicking myself later. I like the hardtop too, but the Spider only gains 22 lbs, it'd be worth it...

Don't think it will happen. Looks like the FoST weighs in at a little more than 3200lbs. I did look up the two direct competitors to see what they weigh:

    2015 Golf R - 3340 (base level 2015 GTI weighs 2972)
    2015 STI - 3386

Just a rumor, we can only hope. At the weight they're at, it wouldn't be too hard to get the Fiesta faster than the RS...

Posted on the Geneva Motor Show section on Ford.ie, the company included a short info section that reads, “as for power, a specially tuned 2.3-liter EcoBoost petrol engine delivers 350 PS (345 hp).”
