OMG - I thought I was the only one left who loved those Capris. My first car was a 1971 Capri 2000, followed by a 1972 Capri V6 that had a nasty dash fire, followed by a 1973 V6. I'd trade my JCW right now for that '72, although it's probably a much better car in my memory than it was in reality. :wink:

 

Thanks for this, Dave. Just sent the link to a friend who passed on one of these cheap years ago and starts each day off by kicking his own a$$ for that decision!

 

You're probably 100% correct that they're better in memory. But, it did teach me about precise rack & pinion steering, proper disk brakes, really supportive seats, superior handling and that only the Germans were painting cars with high quality thick clear coat for an affordable price in the 70's. So I owe a lot to what I learned owning that car.

I had a good friend of the family with a 68 Impala SS that he bought new. His was a 327, but it was a beautiful car. I've always liked the 60, 68, and 94 Impalas.

I once worked with a guy who weighed closer to 400 than 300 who drove one of those. It was real interesting to watch the springs compress when he got in. Then when he got out, he got an "assist" from that overworked suspension.

 

There are a bunch of highly desirable cars there, but the estimates are really high. There will be a bunch of bargains there, just because of the sheer number and variety of vehicles.

I am not really a Mopar guy but I do appreciate them. I liked the big 427 Chevy's and the 67,68 & 69 Camaro's but that little Sunbeam Tiger is awesome.
You just don't see those everyday.

Very nice Tiger. The day of the reasonably priced Tiger's is long gone.

 

^^^^^ I like the old big Chevy's, nice big 427. My older brother had one and it was a blast but it never looked that good.
