I've had a few. During one, I became coherent enough in the middle to see the monitor and say "ohhhhh, I always wondered what that looked like!"

They ramped up the happy juice and I was back under immediately.

I had a colonoscopy and though I was relaxed, I was conscious the whole time. The doctor didn't seem concerned about it.

    Wellllllll... the plot thickens.

The colonoscopy part is fine. But, they also did an upper GI endoscopy, and removed a tiny polyp from my stomach.

Everything was fine for five days. I felt great. Then, I woke up feeling awful on Tuesday. I spent most of the day in bed.

About five that evening, I started hurling blood -- lots of it. :eek6: My neighbor took me to the ER, and I've been in the hospital since. With luck, I can go home tomorrow.

I never quite understood the reasoning for upper GI scope. I should have said, "NO." :mad2:

Im glad you will get to go home. I hope they didn't use the same scope on the upper side as the lower side. If I were you I would not ask.

Hope your back in the Mini soon.

Sorry to hear of your troubles CD. Glad to hear you're going home. Take care of yourself man. Hope you're back on your feet soon.

More on getting old sucks... I've gotta spend three days at the VA in the next couple of
weeks. Nothing to do with the GI tract though thank goodness.

Day1- plastic surgery followup and PET/CT scan
    Day2- radiology followup and MRI
Day3- hematology/oncology followup and bloodwork, Then after my last appt.
I head for my Mini dealer and pick up some parts I ordered.

Well that is a lot of news.

CD get well and get out and stay well.

Vetsvette, the only item in your list I liked was the get parts from the MINI dealer.

    MM, let there be light....

    :)
