I'm not sure M2005 will let you on track at HP, I think you will need an SA2005 or SA2010. You need to check on that....

For the majority of HPDE groups, AutoX groups, and 1/8 & 1/4 mile tracks either: M or SA rated Snell helmets are acceptable.
It's only when you get into the more aggresive racing that the fire-rated SA helmets are an issue. Ususally those organizations also require fire-suppression in the car as well as firesuits and Fire rated: balaclavas, gloves, shoes, and socks. -

I directed Boxer to your add as he was looking for a helmet, we run at Heartland Park, Topeka on the 2.1 and 2.5 mile road course and I wasn't able to get onto their site to check, but I do know the SA2005 is still valid, I just don't know if the M is......that's what I was telling him to check. It may be, I just don't remember.....

Yea.......need to be careful about the ratings now. Most clubs around here are now req'ing S rated only. No more M rated helmets. I am going to need a new helmet for my next track day cause of this. I assume the change is insurance related somehow.

I double checked Heartland Parks's requirements, they will accept an SA or M above 2000, so an M2005 would be accepted.

If y'all would quit wrecking, we wouldn't NEED helmets...
