Add a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich to the agenda with the stop at Helix.... All of a sudden that extra hour isn't such a big deal....![]()

This goes against everything I stand for, but don't make the drive to Helix. It's not worth risking your safety with bad brakes. I haven't learned much in my 47 years, but I have learned that you don't mess with brakes and steering. Get it sorted out locally, and then come see me for some really expensive things.:biggrin5:

Hahaha!
O hell yea.. cheese steaks. Not only them, but pulled pork subs are the fking bomb.
Anyhow, no no, if it was only an hour away, I would go. No problem. Its a little over 2 hours... even then, I would have gone but with my slave cylinder not fully bleed at the moment.... I don't want to get stranded :\-

I would so drive 2 hours one way with an unbled slave just to get a genuine cheesesteak. Let alone visit Helix. Hell, I'd get one for the road on the way back too. ****! Now I really really want a cheesesteak and Columbus isn't exactly known for them.

Think that's gets you some added karma!!
Okok...the cynic in me says the the fear of lawsuits made you say that, but my gut says you are active here cause you have a passion for mini's and like helping folks!!
And 100% RED light means STOP and fix it before you go drive...
P.S. the koni FSD'S I got from you (helix) years ago are still great!ostcount

Such a high popularity for those cheesesteak!
Yea, I will get it professionally bled this weekend and hopefully I can swing up there before the next track day :\
Of course, with fully working car, DC to Philly ain't too bad.. (I once cut my college class to visit helix & pick up a magnaflow exhaust......... with no exhaust installed on my car at that time.....) but I want to get minor things sorted out before-

Which light is lighting up? If it's your e brake light, check the switch under the e brake lever boot.
-
Hey Eric,
The red brake light that lights up when you engage parking brake
The odd thing is that switch under the ebrake boot has been disconnected for the past 4 years *GASP*
Thats where I stumble
I would love to take it to Helix for things but Philly is an hour too farGahhhhhhhhhh

Sounds like the switch is being grounded somehow.

An hour drive is nuth'n... Hell, I'd welcome that drive since there's no shop anywhere near here. Not anything reputable anyway!

I was going to say, Firebro, that people in Cali commute that to and from work everyday.
Maybe the disconnected harness has gotten wet or has rubbed through the insulation and caused a short. -
An hours plus is nothing. That's what it sometimes takes to get from Santa Monica to Downtown Los Angeles in rush from 7am to 10am in the morning and 3pm to 7pm in the afternoon...and that's using Venice Blvd., not the Santa Monica Frwy. Oh, did I mention it's a little over 13 miles?

Now I understand why you moved to this Midwest Cowtown....

Now you all know why I and many other in the area only take our cars to Helix. Even if they are in the City for Philadelphia and you all know how much I love the city.
They do great work, they are honest and ethical. Things you don't find a many Dealerships..
