Wow Nathan I am REALLY sorry to hear/see this. I hope through good investigative practices they are able to catch the suspect. Gnat is an inspiration for many of us, so he needs to be back on the road asap.

I'd guess if Metalman was allowed to convert Gnat into a flatbed for use as a shop truck he might go for it.

Can you see whether there's any front suspension damage?

I was wondering about that myself. Looks like a swipe type of hit rather than a straight on hit. :fingerscrossed:

Probably some drunken dip**** that will never be caught... :(

I have no doubts that the Gnat will be rebuilt (with all the right color of paint this time) before Dragon time. :)

    WELL SUCKY SUCKS!

With all things comes a bit of opportunity, it is time for another shirt! :D

I do hope someone steps up and fingers the molester of Gnat! Damn shame!

Maybe you could rent out that nice coupe that is forsale for your winter ride!

Hope to see Gnat back and better than ever. Get a Camry for your rental car, they are soulless but start in the cold.

    Condolences.....

    Don

Met with the insurance adjuster. Not a total, looks like about 4-5k to fix.

If the key had been in and the airbags popped, it would be a total. Your damage looked a lot less than Jango and they totaled him... Craig got hit on the rear axle but the airbags popped and it was all over.

Ouch! How is that going to work with your custom hood? Do they only give you a painted hood? Labor to re-customize it? Sorry to see this. With our cars getting pretty old now, trying to get them fixed after major repairs is getting tricky, just ask Steve :(

There is no damage to the hood, so not an issue, this time.

I do have the mods covered. My insurance agent is savvy when it comes to documenting and protecting modified vehicles. I have a policy that does cover the mods. Allstate doesn't write this specific policy any more. I'm grandfathered in so long as I don't make changes to the policy.
