LOL!!! I had the same reaction at my first MOTD. I couldn't believe it was only one car leaving the parking area.
Show them the trophy again Nate. The judges were looking for a run off then Nate showed. No competition after that.
100 miles later and only one minor hiccup so far. The car lost communication with the throttle body for whatever reason on Friday, leaving me pretty much dead in the water with traffic soon approaching. I have since applied some dielectric grease to the connection and haven't had any recurring issues. If all goes well this week I should have 200+ miles on the Gnat and we'll let him rest for the long ride home to Columbus when Nate comes to rekindle their relationship.
A dielectric is an electrical insulator, it is not a good idea to apply dielectric grease directly to an electrical connection, rather use it to help seal the plastic connector around the electrical connection from water and dirt.
Welp.... Something is definitely up I tell you.... You know how some animals act funny just before an earthquake? Course, it's been very quiet in the Short North with the Gnatster being on holiday up in Detroit... There has been a huge squirrel migration out of the local area here... Large families of squirrels were seen leaving today... The streets look like shimmering grey fur moving out in all directions, but definitely away from the Short North... Some really big Flying squirrels were seen leaving this afternoon... Something's about to transfigure the Short North for sure... Stay inside and cover your ears...
I bet I'll hear him coming down the yellow brick road to the merry merry old land of OZ aka Short North.
Lemme tell ya, I'm sure my neighbors will be having a party that I'm not invited to now that Gnat is gone. With everything that has gone into this, lets try to keep it running for at least two years Nate. :fingerscrossed::wink:
