While I was changing the earl in my MINI down at the shop today I saw Nathan go zipping by in one of these critters... I think he's become quite attached to them...:D

    Heard from Chad today.

It runs, has a base tune on it for now.

Some other things that are on the while it's there list have been accomplished.

    We're getting there!

The "while it's there" list can be a VERY dangerous thing...

Today is September 1. The start of the 5th month without my car.

To say I am frustrated, unhappy, disappointed and a billion other adjectives that display disdain is putting it mildly.

This has become the clusterfark of epic proportion.

I feel for you Nate. While mine is running fine, I've only been able to drive it once or twice since before Christmas. I still have about 3 weeks to go. Hang in there Dude! It won't be much longer.

I dropped the R53 at the shop July 7th. That was exactly 8 weeks ago today. :(

Planning on seeing it again September 24th. That will be over 11 weeks / almost 3 months.

That does seem like an excessive amount of time to have your car in the shop - it would be one thing if you weren't paying retail rates and it was some kind of "project" for the shop, but if you're a regular paying customer, I think it's excessive.

    Hope you're driving again soon.....

Mine is due to waiting on parts, and a lot of "while it's there" stuff that keeps getting pile on. Nate has a bit of this going on too...
