I am out of town till Monday morning..... We have been in Cincinnati OH doing a week long mod party that was set up before Nate's car was even on the books. But things have been working on things while i was away. once I get back I'll be picking up the engine and putting things back together. As well as looking the suspension over and coming up with the best plan and budget to make it work the best.

Sorry to hear I missed a mod party. I'd have driven south for that.

    Back on topic....

Nate is about to get his engine bolted back together.

Looks like its coming along nicely.

As a side note, it's very cool to see DT and RMW working together--if I go for any more rmw craziness on my car, Detroit isn't that far away, nice to know of a place in the Midwest that's doing MAJOR work on minis.

Yeah, I know you've been around from the start, and have a great rep--reading Nate's thread just kind of cements it for me, if, down the road, I go for 1.8 L....:)

Spoke with Chad today to plan in action in regards to other work the car really does need too.

New brake rotors will be going on.

There will be some suspension work, what all has not been finalized at this time.

New lower control arm bushings, the Poly ones, I forget the brand name already. These will replace the welded in Alta things that clunk, chunk and otherwise well...didn't work out for me.

An alignment since there is this suspension work.

We did forget to discuss the exhaust. It would be nice to tone the volume down a bit.

Tone it down a bit? When we all met for lunch that day, you were complaining that mine was too quite. ? :D

Yeah, but I find the rattling plates that have broken loose in the resonators a bit annoying.

I think the suspension bushings you're talking about are the Powerflex, I've changed out a bunch of them and everyone I've done has been very happy with them - they don't have to be welded and they don't rattle or make noise.

Way sells them already pressed into the brackets on an exchange basis - really saves some labor and time!

Yep, that's what they're supposed to look like!

Yep, Powerflex, thanks for jogging my memory.

Chad has them as well and he's doing the work, so while the Way ones that are already pressed in are a good idea, in this case it's not needed.

Oil pick up with RMW thingie that prevents oil starvation during sustained high load cornering. BTW, much like the head, it is one of the first produced.

I do believe The Chad is working late this evening. Pictures keep popping up on my phone.
