Is this a normal use of the resonators? I always thought they were simply a way to slightly modify the sound before getting to a muffler.

When Nathan first moved to town I thought we were having a lot of thunder storms. Came to find out it was just Nathan firing up Gnat.... :D

Storms are forecasted for Detroit.... But expected to be somewhat milder leading up to the 21st of April.... With the storm gradually moving towards Columbus.... Arriving with mild thunderclaps towards evening..... True forecast....:D

No story, nothing untoward there. It's a normal sealant from the factory seen in just about every MINI Valve Cover.

Yep. I asked a tech about that on a recent DIY day at MINI of Dallas. Nathan's actually looks like a thoughtful job by the person who did the application compared to the glop of crap that was inside that cover. The tech admitted that the first time he saw it, he went running over to another tech to ask WTF?

Honestly, though, I think that Chad just had a PBJ for lunch and had run out of napkins. He figured "Why not... what are the odds that the Gnat's engine will be cracked open for the 4th time?" and wiped his fingers there. :D

Rebuilt TSW Engine Mount, it had some issues. I have to remind and/or mention this mount was the last beta version so a few little issues are no big deal here, much was learned from the mount.

The pièce de résistance - engine on cart all ready for install.

Yee...it is. I'm just the reporter for this fun. Chad, his team, and a whole lot of others are what is making this possible.

Gravity fill of transmission, must mean the axles are in place. Either that or Chad is making a skating rink on the shop floor the hard way. :arf:

    Nope. I'm patient.

BTW, I was mistaken, the gauges going in are new ones. Boost and Air/Fuel.

Bought them almost a year ago too...The For Sale thread.

I'm starting to think GNAT is gonna be a bit of a rocket when I finally get her back. The car was pretty strong before, but with all the little things that The Chad has found that has been sapping power away fixed... Oh My...

Now I'm starting to get a little anxious. Mind you, just a little.
