A tee graphic could be built around the mosquito splat image on your front air intake cowling... quite the apt metaphor... silver on blue... really fresh.

    Bet you'd sell a bunch...

    Cheers... M

I was thinking more of the picture of the block with the splat image on one of the piston tops.

Ok, sorry Nathan for having some fun at your expense..... Back to your regularly scheduled thread..... :)

    I'll start working on something...

BTW, that is a gnat, not a mosquito. A gnat is very similar to a mosquito but lacks the biting proboscis a mosquito has, so it doesn't suck your blood. Gnats also swarm in mass. They are quiet too, while you do hear the mosquito's buzz...

Hmm, I may have to rethink this MINI naming thing.

I was about to say that when I think of your MINI, 'quiet' isn't the word that comes to mind... :D

Love me some cotton..... Like my Tee's cotton.... Especially 100% cotton... Folks that means it's pure unadulterated cotton..... Nothing but the best for M/A members....:D Did I mention that the "REBUILT" Tee's are 100% pure cotton???? That means it's not metric or Canadian, but PUUUUUUURE cotton......:D

Now, all of you on FB need to share the T-Shirt post from Nate and make it public. Maybe we'll get some non-MA kind hearted folks to help out.

    Back on track there....

Ordered parts for the exhaust. The current Hushpower resonators are blown out. They rattle at idle and are LOUD. The LOUD is not as bad as the rattling of the internals at idle.

Not wanting to pay Hushpower prices only to blow them out again I went with something less expensive. Vibrant Performance resonaters. The fun part was finding 2x 2.25x12. Like no one in the US has them. I even called Vibrant, based in Canada. they said good luck, but if I wait 3 weeks they have more coming. Finally found some at SFX Performance Parts and Auto Accessories in TX. They are now on the way.

Speaking of "way". Spoke to him today too. Need new rotors for the TSW BDM BBK. These aren't standard off the shelf Coleman Machine rotors but a custom rotor from them that comes slotted or plain and in a left and right version. Way has some slotted ones that are now on the way to Detroit Tuned.

I'm running a Vibrant bottle-type resonator on my Alta Sportone exhaust right now... the larger Alta resonator didn't play nice w/ my B&M Short shift kit. That sucker has held up very well (knock on wood) and still looks solid after over 3 years of cruising way too close to the road surface.

    That is good to know.

and one of these 2.5x18 Stainless Steel Exhaust Resonator Vibrant Performance 17930

Looks like I've got a smaller diameter version of your 18" resonator. It's been great and gives plenty of clearance.

Here's a pic from a long while ago when they were welding up the Vibrant to the Alta kit (Alta resonator on the right).

PS: That is the floor of the shop that will not be named. :D

I've melted the perforated core of two Vibrant resonators.

My exhaust was VERY loud, so in conjunction with my Alta stuff I added a glass pack, installed it backwards, so it does not restrict as much. Sounds great and seems to be holding up well?

So Nathan, you are going to run 2 resonators instead of mufflers in a JCW/Borla orientation?
