They are definitely having some growing pains. The merch booths are only accepting cash now and are out of a lot of items. The vendors are having problems with water. But you can hear the Dr's AMG wagon from across the track.
Good thing you got your Swag the first day then. Going to be interesting come Sunday me thinks. But it's a new venue, kinks need to be worked out. They did say they would of liked to have a smaller event such as an SCCA regional first to just test everything out but the track was not complete in time.
That looks like it is elbow to elbow, you sure you stepped into VIP land. Nice setup in the room, is it free food and drink in the main lounge?
I have some NUT pics. Looks bigger to me. It's one of the "experience" VIP lounges. Yes, food and booze was free. A little taste of "you had to be there" from yesterday: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgorz4nF0XQ[/ame]
It felt that way. Honestly, they are doing an amazing job getting people in an out. Got back to the hotel in 40 minutes today. Can't complain.
Nice video, great sound Can you tell from the engine sounds which car is coming around into the straight? Thanks.....
Actually, I'll change my statement here to he was a bad representation of Texas.... Truth be told I'm a sucker for a cowboy :ihih:
There is a noticeable difference between cars, but being able to tell which one is which would need a few more race trips. :fingerscrossed: Honestly, sitting on the main straight is LOUD. Not something I would do without ear protection. The cars move so fast that I was pretty much using the dopler effect to take pictures. You will see that some of the slower team cars are on the left side of the frame, while faster cars are on the right. Spoke to some guys with much better photo gear than my point and shoot and they all have the same problem. Trying to cant a car from the side is a hit and miss proposition.
F1 is cool, but the technology is a bit beyond me, especially if you have to use sound waves to capture light waves:confused5::crazy::beer
Here is my youtube video channel that has all the videos I've shot so far. Mostly they are short and just to show some sites and sounds that you might not get on TV: <iframe width="853" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/videoseries?list=PLyda38yYQO5x6S-6Si7tgNpbl12q_DgNA&hl=en_US" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
